Ola. I remember my days training and then being the trainer. Now I can't even hold my breath for a minute... Ah well, I can still hike. Happy New Year. Dot

Dodo, after thinking about your pain while driving in the dark, it occurred to me that pain to bright lights can be a symptom of cataracts. That was how Robert described bright lights before he had his surgery. You say you recently had your eyes examined. Did they check for beginning cataracts? Lights are just now beginning to bother me, although they don't cause pain. Even though I have not been able to drive at night without streetlights for nearly forever, I have always had good night peripheral vision. Go figure. Later.

Barb - I just had my eyes examined last month. All things point to very healthy eyes; no degeneration, no glaucoma. This is not a surprise at all; I've been awaiting it's arrival.

I'm sorry to hear this, Wiz. You're right, of course. You might also talk to your optometrist/opthomologist about this. There may be solutions out there that you're unaware of.

Hey, great job and Kudos for attacking that hill! I was one of those behind you, finishing at 515 (62:14, 10:03/mile). I must have executed your original plan (which was also my plan), and you might have passed me as I walked up the incline. More than likely, though, with your time you were already ahead. I was fried at mile 3.8 and just didn't have it in me, so hats off!

There is always next year...

Wow! I am amazed by how great it looks; kudos to you all! There is such a sense of pride gained in restoring a home by yourself.

It's been a while since I've been over, but it looks fantastic. That blue with the heavy white trim is really nice.

You have done such an amazing job on this house! I'm sure if it could talk, it would thank you for taking such good care of it.

Job well done, Wiz!
